Good question.
Actually, Studio Cubes don't come with washers.
In fact, most commercially available pre-assembled cubes don't come with washers.
I have been experimented with washers for Studio Cubes (as well as others) will hopefully have some info up in the future.
My local hardware stores don't have a good selection of small washers to expirment with
I would like to know if other members have experimented with washers for their cubes?
When your cube doesn't have washers, you may want to consider filing down the springs, at least on the bottom it rubs the plastic center piece.
You want to file the end of the spring so that it doesn't scrape the plastic on the center cubie.
As in my other discussion regarding sanding the pieces, a dremil might come in handy for this.
I have had pretty bad luck sanding the springs with sandpaper and have resorted to a metal file. But I think a nice dremil tool might do a better/quicker job. _________________ Cube On!

Yeah, I file springs also with a metal file, but would a dremil be so good?? I own a cheap immitation dremil and if you tried to file the springs with that, you would have to hold the spring in your hand because otherwise it would bend... and when you hold it in your hand, as you grind it, it becomes very hot and sparks would fly everywhere.. If I was to grind a spring with a power tool, I'd use a bench grinder with the spring held in a set of Long Nosed Pliers. _________________ Fastest Time:18.95 (PLL skip) using The CFOP system (First sub-20 ever)

Sorry Tomas but I don't understand your question.
The washers are little metal rings that go between the spring and the cubie (brick?) _________________ Cube On!
